Integrity - A Most Important Personal Growth Goal
People aspire for personal growth, but are drawn towards multiple directions, live fragmented lives, pursuing one thing after another without understanding from within what their personal life is meant for. The way to avoid this and to pursue personal growth in a coherent and meaningful way is to set one's heart towards the pursuit of integrity. The pursuit of integrity is synonymous with the pursuit of personal truth. Personal truth is an understanding of what one truly believes and values in oneself, not merely as an individual person but as an integral part of a greater whole. Integrity is living one's highest and deepest truth. The highest deepest truth is an evolving truth. It is something that has been growing from the seeds scattered and sown in one's heart by the sower of the universe. There is in every person a natural love for the truth. There is in every person who remains faithful to one's being a person a hunger for integrity, a natural delight for integrity; and with this thirst for integrity, a natural capacity to recognize truth. In a quantum universe of fluid environment with shifting and endless possibilities, the sure way to personal growth is the pursuit of integrity. The desire for integrity is a force field that attracts oneself to the integration of one's life to the truth. |
