Spirituality - the Power Center of Personal Growth
All growth presuppose connectedness with the well spring of life. No matter how much detailed the explanation to the processes of life there remains the question of its origin beyond the sum total of all the processes. There is only one source, one well spring of life. Spirituality is essentially connectedness, or in a deeper way, oneness with the source of life. Spirituality as practiced, no matter from what perspective it originates refers to the way people moves to, enhance and perpetuate this connectedness with Life. Knowing this, personal growth will be informed by concepts that are more than ephemeral or accidental. Personal growth can proceed from sources and energies that are enduring. Spirituality then is the powerhouse of personal growth. Personal growth proceeds through spirituality, no matter what the extent of consciousness or awareness of the individual person is. The greater the awareness and the more involved the person is in spirituality the greater and more pronounced the trajectory of growth in one's life. Spirituality, however, is more than religiousness. Spirituality is a much deeper more inclusive term than religiosity is. Spirituality embraces all of life, all of reality; it is the wellspring of all energy and power for personal growth and other endeavors as well. |
